Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2025

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how LoadFlow Logistics LLC (“LoadFlow”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, use our dashboard, or access the LoadFlow API. This policy applies to all LoadFlow services operated under the domain *.loadflowlogistics.com.

Cookies help us deliver essential site functionality, secure your sessions, and understand how visitors use our platform. This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you can manage or disable them.

2. Relationship to Our Privacy Policy

This Cookie Policy is a component of our broader Privacy Policy. For more details on how we collect, use, and protect your data — including legal basis, retention, and international transfers — please review our full Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use LoadFlow websites or applications, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

3. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information and user authentication.

Cookies may be “session cookies” that expire when you close your browser, or “persistent cookies” that remain on your device for a longer period. Cookies may also be set by the site you’re visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by third-party services we rely on (“third-party cookies”).

4. Why We Use Cookies

LoadFlow uses cookies to:

  • Maintain secure login sessions
  • Authenticate API users and prevent abuse
  • Track site performance and analytics anonymously
  • Store your cookie preferences and UI theme choices
  • Detect anomalies and prevent fraud

We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising or cross-site targeting. LoadFlow prioritizes user privacy and minimizes reliance on tracking technologies.

5. Types of Cookies We Use

We categorize cookies as follows:

  • Strictly Necessary: Essential for core site functionality, login security, and access control.
  • Functional: Used to store preferences like language, theme (light/dark mode), or layout settings.
  • Analytics: Used to understand how visitors interact with our platform (e.g. via page views, error tracking).
  • Third-Party: Cookies set by providers like Stripe during checkout, or by embedded tools when used.

6. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for LoadFlow to operate correctly. They cannot be disabled and include:

  • Session Token: Maintains login sessions and verifies authenticated users
  • CSRF Protection: Prevents cross-site request forgery in form submissions
  • Rate Limiting: Detects and prevents abusive API behavior
  • Cookie Preference: Saves your opt-in or opt-out cookie choices

7. Analytics Cookies

LoadFlow uses lightweight, privacy-first analytics to help us improve our platform. We do not track individual users or build behavioral profiles. Our analytics setup may include:

  • Fathom (preferred): Uses anonymized tracking with no personal data, IP logs, or persistent cookies
  • Vercel Analytics: Tracks site metrics such as page loads, response times, and error frequency
  • Google Analytics (if enabled): Used with IP anonymization and without ad personalization

You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the official opt-out browser extension.

8. Third-Party Cookies

Some LoadFlow features rely on external providers who may set their own cookies. These providers have their own cookie and privacy policies. Examples include:

  • Stripe: Loads third-party cookies during billing and checkout
  • Cloudflare: May set technical cookies for DDoS protection
  • Email services: May use cookies to ensure email delivery or open tracking (if enabled)
  • Embedded content: Tools like videos, widgets, or docs may include cookies via iframe or JavaScript

LoadFlow does not control third-party cookies and is not responsible for how they operate.

9. Cookie Duration

Cookies set by LoadFlow may be session-based (expire when your browser closes) or persistent (expire after a set period). Typical durations include:

  • Session Cookies: Deleted when the browser tab closes
  • Authentication Cookies: Persist for up to 7 days for logged-in users
  • Cookie Preference Storage: Up to 180 days
  • Analytics Cookies: Varies by provider — typically 1–13 months

10. Consent & Cookie Banners

At this time, LoadFlow does not display a cookie banner because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We only use essential, functional, and anonymized analytics cookies.

If our cookie usage changes in the future, we will implement a consent banner and update this policy accordingly.

11. How to Manage or Disable Cookies

Most browsers allow you to manage, disable, or delete cookies. You can typically do this through your browser’s settings menu. The following links provide help documentation for major browsers:

Note: Disabling cookies may affect functionality such as login persistence, API key storage, and account access.

12. Effect of Disabling Cookies

If you disable cookies entirely:

  • You may be logged out of your LoadFlow account upon tab/browser closure
  • Your cookie preferences will not be saved and will reset on every visit
  • Rate limits may behave inconsistently
  • Session-based dashboards or form states may not persist

LoadFlow is usable with cookies disabled, but performance, convenience, and session control may be impacted.

13. Legal Basis for Cookies

Under GDPR, LoadFlow relies on the following legal grounds:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Used based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) to deliver essential functionality
  • Analytics Cookies: Used under legitimate interest or, if personalization is added in the future, consent
  • Consent Banner: Not currently required, as LoadFlow does not set advertising or tracking cookies

Under CCPA, LoadFlow does not “sell” personal data and does not use cookies for behavioral profiling. We may collect pseudonymous session data, which is covered in our Privacy Policy.

14. Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

Some browsers allow you to send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal to websites. LoadFlow does not currently respond to DNT signals, but we do not track you across third-party websites or build behavioral profiles regardless of DNT settings.

15. Policy Changes & Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, regulatory requirements, or service functionality. We will post the latest version on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top of the document.

In the event of significant changes to cookie practices (e.g. enabling advertising or new trackers), we will notify users by email or display a notice on the LoadFlow dashboard.

16. Contact Information

If you have questions, concerns, or complaints related to cookies or your privacy on LoadFlow, please contact us:

17. Regulatory Jurisdictions

This policy is written to comply with major privacy regulations including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and ePrivacy Directive. Users in other jurisdictions may contact us to clarify regional handling.

18. No Sale of Personal Data

LoadFlow does not sell, lease, or rent your personal data. Cookies used on our platform are not shared with advertisers or behavioral ad networks. Any data collected is for platform performance and compliance only.

19. Children’s Privacy

LoadFlow is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly place cookies on or collect information from children. If you believe a minor has interacted with our platform, please notify us for immediate data deletion.
